ONDA Interference is a 3D printed vase where algorithmic design meets striking material contrast.
This piece explores interference, the phenomenon that occurs when multiple waves meet and create complex overlapping patterns. The concentric textures wrapping its spherical form mirror the exact behavior of water ripples, sound frequencies, and electromagnetic signals as they intersect in space. The bold bicolor split between black and white amplifies the wave pattern, creating a visual dialogue between organic form and graphic precision.
Design & Materials
- Generative algorithm: Each curve follows mathematical wave propagation principles
- Bicolor PLA: Half black, half white split creates dramatic contrast
- Glossy finish: High-shine surface emphasizes the sculptural depth
- 3D printed: Additive manufacturing captures organic complexity layer by layer
- Unique texture: Interference patterns create tactile richness across the surface
The ONDA Series
Part of the ONDA series, three vessels investigating the wave as universal pattern connecting natural systems and digital technology. From ocean surfaces to data transmission, the same geometric principle shapes our world.

Material
This vase is crafted using PLA, a biodegradable and lightweight material derived from renewable sources such as cornstarch and sugarcane.
Unlike conventional plastics, PLA minimizes environmental impact, producing fewer emissions during manufacturing. At the end of its life, it naturally decomposes, leaving no toxic residues behind.
