CARSIA
04 IMAGES · CLICK TO ENLARGE
CARSIA comes from karst erosion: rainwater dissolving limestone slowly enough to leave ridges and channels instead of a break. Those ridges aren't applied over the shape, they're the print path itself, the line the nozzle follows layer by layer, narrowing where the profile thins and widening where the vase opens out.
Watertight: water for a fresh stem, or leave it dry for dried branches and flowers. Plant-based PLA, printed after the order is placed. Light enough, at 280 grams, to move by hand and follow the light through a room.

02 — The project
A tighter radius
The tighter radius is a parameter of the generative process: the terrain function is evaluated across a shorter reach, and the texture reads finer than on the collection's wider forms. The result is a surface that reads almost continuous, next to the more open ones elsewhere in the collection.
